We’ve all been there—sitting in worship or hanging out in the hallway on Sunday morning and saying to ourselves “Who is that person? Are they new or have they been here for a while and I just haven’t noticed them?” Or maybe you’ve thought “My husband and I would love to get to know that family better.” Maybe you are brand new to the church and you want to connect with others. Maybe you have been at the church for a while but want to connect with more those you typically don’t engage with.
FACT: We experience deep, authentic community and growth when we are known.
ALSO FACT: We love to eat.
Supper Groups are a way for us to connect with those we don’t know well and wish we knew better—all while having fun doing it.
Here are the details:
-Sign up at the Connect Cart the next three Sundays or by emailing Pastor Luke at lsmith@rinconpres.org (Note: Please include contact info. If you have children, please indicate whether you’d like to include them)
-You will be randomly paired with other individuals and couples to form a supper group
-Each group decides themselves when they will meet for supper
-We ask that each group commit to having supper three times in the coming quarter (October – December).
